nearing the end

Everyone knows that few students have any motivation to study after the weather gets nice. Especially where I live, where most of the time it's winter. Once we finally get the sunshine back, we want to soak up as much of it as possible.
And, of course, teachers don't get that. They assume that you have enough discipline to stay inside and do your homework before going outside, so they pile on the assignments, exams, and projects. There's a big problem there: they assign so much homework that once you finish, the daylight is gone. ridiculous. I don't have anything against homework, really I don't. But, everything in moderation, people!
Another thing teachers don't think of is the fact that EVERY other teacher assigns homework too... now we all know that you think that your subject is the best and that everyone just LOVES doing your assignments, so it's not really work. But there are only 24 hours in a day. We spend 7 at school and approximately 8 at home sleeping. That leaves 9 hours for homework. But, inslude time for dinner with your family and sports practices. Maybe a haircut or something in there. You've got about 4 hours left. And if you spend all of those doing homework, you WILL lose your sanity. There is something to be said for sitting and reading a book for half and hour. It's important to maintain your balance in life.
And so, I would like to propose that teachers moderate how much homework they assign now that it's nearing the end of the school year. gollee.
